Trapped in Fiction is a five-star escape room based in Basingstoke, Hampshire — independently owned, passionately designed, and consistently rated as one of the best escape rooms in the county.
We’re located in the Top of Town area of Basingstoke, making us easily accessible from across Hampshire. Whether you’re coming from Winchester, Andover, Hook, Tadley, Farnham, or further afield, Basingstoke is a straightforward drive or train journey — and we’re just minutes from the town centre car parks.

Our Rooms
Peter Pan: Step into Neverland and save the Lost Boys from Captain Hook. A magical, atmospheric adventure that works beautifully for families and groups alike. 2-6 players, three difficulty settings.
The Forbidden Room of Fun: Nostalgic childhood games with a puzzling twist. The largest room in our venue, ideal for bigger groups and corporate bookings. 2–8 players, two difficulty settings.
Getting to Us From Across Hampshire
Escape Into A Story
From Winchester: approximately 25 minutes via the M3. From Andover: approximately 20 minutes via the A303. From Farnham: approximately 35 minutes via the A31. From Reading: approximately 40 minutes via the A33. Basingstoke train station is a 10–15 minute walk, or a very short taxi ride.
Parking is available at Castons Yard, Albert Yard and Joices Yard in the Top of Town area — all within a 2-5 minute walk.
