An Escape Room is an exciting, fun way to spend your free time. A group of you will be in a themed room and must use teamwork, communication skills, and puzzle solving to complete objectives and escape before the 60 minute time limit is up. Check out more information about our rooms CLICK HERE.

Our rooms are designed to be fun for all ages!

Children of age 6 and over should be able to have a go at a good number of the puzzles.

Ages 10/11 and over should be able to complete most of the puzzles with a bit of help.

If coming as a family or group with children under age 6 there may be some aspects which under 6s can enjoy.

We allow groups consisting of only children (under 16) if an adult (over age 18) is present in the room for the duration of the experience to make sure the children are following our rules and to help out where they can.

If the adult is only there to supervise, you do not need to pay for the adult when booking.

We recommend a minimum group size of 4 children.

If you have significantly more than permitted on the booking page we can arrange to have groups quickly one after the other.

The price per person decreases the more people you have in your team. We also have lower prices for children.

Children under 6 go free.

The easiest way to see what the total price is to go to the BOOKING PAGE and select a date and time. You’ll then be able to select how many people you have in your group, and see the price per person and total price. 

We recommend choosing ‘Beginner’ difficulty if you have completed less than a handful of escape rooms, are a team of 2, or the majority of your group are children.

The ‘More Challenging’ difficulty is designed for experienced escape room players.

There are a number of paid car parks close by in the Top of Town area of Basingstoke.

The closest are Castons, Albert Yard and Caston’s Yard just off New Road, or Joices Yard just off New Street.

The Escape Room is also a short walk from Festival Place.

Anyone can be in your team. We ask children under 16 to be accompanied by an adult.

If the majority of the group will be under 10 years old please CONTACT US to discuss.

Yes! Please just bring a card or cash and you can pay the difference in price when you arrive. If you want to bring more than permitted on the booking page please CONTACT US to discuss.

Please arrive at the time of your booking, and follow the instructions you received in your confirmation email.

No, our rooms are designed to be challenging, immersive and a lot of fun!

The doors are not locked so you will be able to get out at any time.

Please CONTACT US and give us at least 24 hours notice to change your booking. After this time we won’t be able to give a refund, but can offer to reschedule or issue you a gift voucher for the full amount to play with us later.

Please don’t take photos or videos in the room. We don’t want the puzzles to be spoiled for others. We’ll tell you everything you need to know when you arrive. Most of all, have fun!

You can go to the toilet before, or even during the game. But we won’t be able to pause the game for you, so please try to go before you go into the room.

Trapped in Fiction is on the first floor of a grade 2 listed building that does not have a lift.

The aim of our experiences is not to get out of the door you can in, so you can leave the room at any point as the door to enter is not locked.

You won’t need any answers to quiz questions. Just use your common sense and we’ll help you out if you get stuck, so don’t worry, you’ll be just fine.
